The jacket not only comes with a detachable hood but also comes in two colours, the Realtree Edge Red, and Realtree Edge Orange, suited for any hunter’s style. Though, if your activity gets a little more active, the collar has mesh fabric, and the underarms have two-way zippers for that extra ventilation. For pockets, we have more than you could ever ask for; two inner pockets, a radio pocket and two rest pockets have concealed zippers; the zippers on the chest pocket and extra front pocket are both waterproof, and finally the two front box pockets have cover flaps, if that’s not enough for your storage, we don’t know what is. The main central zip is a YKK two-way zip which provides ease of access to undergarments, pre-shaped elbows, adjustable cuffs, elasticated strap for your antenna, storm cuffs and an adjustable drawstring at the bottom of this jacket, completes the perfect hunting jacket.

If you want to hunt in very cold temperatures, you will benefit greatly from choosing hunting apparel with insulation. Padding or insulation is designed to keep you warm. It is important that you are able to maintain a stable body temperature throughout the day so that you don’t freeze.

Products impregnated with water repellent treatment are water- and dirt-repellent. Stains are easy to remove and the product gets a smooth surface.

When the clothing is stitched, tiny holes are created in the fabric by the seams. To avoid moisture seeping through these holes, it is possible to tape the seams. This protects exposed areas and increases the product's waterproofness.

Wet and sodden hunting apparel can quickly ruin a good hunting expedition. Deerhunter therefore always recommends waterproof products for hunting in rainy weather. A special combination of materials and processes enable us to develop products which are 100% waterproof.

Waterproof & Breathability - 8.000/8.000: Water penetration resistance is measured in “millimetre water column pressure”. The water column pressure is measured by placing a liquid column gauge over the material so that material with water penetration resistance 5.000 mm can keep water out from a five metre (5.000 mm) gauge. Material with a water penetration resistance of 10.000 mm can resist water from a 10 metre (10.000 mm) gauge, etc. MVP value indicates breathability of a membrane. MVP value is an expression of the quantity of water vapour that can escape through one square meter of a membrane within 24 hours. A breathable product rated at 5.000 can therefore “breathe” 5.000 g (5 litres) water vapour per square metre in 24 hours.

A three-layer padding made from fibres that have been melted together under a low heat. This unique structure produces an extraordinary softness. Deer-Tex® Temp collects body heat, while the surface material ensures that the heat is encapsulated in the layers and insulates the body.

Deer-Tex® Performance Shell membrane is laminated to the rear side of the outer fabric and taped in all seams, making it 100% waterproof. This membrane is exceptionally light, and is therefore used in Deerhunter’s more technical products.
